Review: ClamWin Free Antivirus is, unlike most other antivirus programs for Windows, open source. It features a scheduler, automatic definition database updates, a virus scanner, integration with Windows Explorer, and support for Microsoft Outlook, features often limited in proprietary products.

In addition, there is a Firefox plugin that allows any file downloaded with Mozilla Firefox to be scanned for viruses automatically, making downloading more secure.

Unlike other antivirus software, ClamWin uses less memory and CPU power when in use.

All of these features, however, do come at a price. ClamWin is not as good at detecting all viruses as some other products. It may, however, prove quite useful to use ClamWin for regular scans and use another antivirus software, such as the others listed here at VideoGamez2.0, for checks less often. And certainly gamers will appreciate the fact that ClamWin isn't as agressive in its notifications and won't make your games lag while you play.
